Darren Edgley has been in business in the Craig-y-Don area since 1987. Starting in association with the late Mr Derek Jackson in Clarence Road Darren took over a section of the Homecraft shop, and 'Homecraft Floral Designs' was born.
After Mr Jacksons retirement, the business moved to a new, but considerably smaller shop in Mostyn Avenue, near the junction with Carmen Sylva Road.
Due to a marked decrease in the demand for the craftwork products this side of the business was discontinued and focussed purely on floristry, and the name of the business was subsequently changed to Edgley's Floral Designs.
The volume of business gradually built up over the next ten years and it soon became obvious that trading from such a small shop would not enable us to provide the sort of service we wished to provide for our customers
When the opportunity came along to purchase a property at 35 Mostyn Avenue which was a much larger shop with the added advantages of a good storage area and being much closer to the centre of activity in Craig-y-Don, Darren decided to 'take the plunge and Edgley's Floral Designs moved to it's present location in Mostyn Avenue near the junction with Queens Road, in September 1999.
